FDA now considers all contact lenses, including plano, a medical device and can only be sold with the involvement of an Eye Care Professional. All "sellers" of contact lenses must be an Eye Care Professional or work in conjunction with an Eye Care Professional. All prescriptions must be verified. "Sellers " of contact lenses are required to follow all federal and state laws that apply to "Contact Lens Sales"

SCLERA - INSTRUCTIONS

SCLERA CUSTOM MADE LENSES INSERTION AND REMOVAL INFORMATION

Because of the large diameter of sclera lenses, the method of insertion is different than with conventional contact lenses. To insert a sclera lens, look down and rest the edge of the lens on the upper sclera/limbus (white part of the eye). Gently slide the lens up under the upper lid until the lower edge can be “tucked” into the lower lid. It is recommended that sclera lenses not be worn over four hours. As with all contact lenses, if you have pain or extreme discomfort take out immediately and if pain continues contact your eye care professional. Remember to wash your hands before handling the lenses for insertion. Do not trade your lenses with anyone. Trading lenses with other people increases the chance of spreading infection and diseases. If you have not worn contact lenses before we recommend that you see your eye care professional for fitting and training.
